Amateur and professional photographers across Lincolnshire and beyond are being invited to capture the splendour of a historic National Trust property for a chance to win fantastic prizes and see their work displayed in a world-class exhibition.
Capture the Beauty of Belton for a Chance to Win
The Belton Estate, near Grantham, is once again hosting the prestigious International Garden Photographer of the Year (IGPOTY) exhibition this spring. To celebrate, the estate has launched a special, free-to-enter award category called the Beauty of Belton Estate. This competition seeks stunning images that showcase the estate's gardens, hidden treasures, plants, and wildlife.
Successful entrants stand to win an enticing package of prizes, which includes tickets to a winter lights trail, a delightful afternoon tea, and a private behind-the-scenes tour of the estate. Up to eight images may be submitted per person, offering plenty of scope for creative photographers.
Exhibition Spotlight for Local Talent
Charlotte Beaver, Visitor Experience Manager at Belton Estate, expressed her excitement: "Hosting the IGPOTY exhibition for the first time last year was a real honour. Our visitors adored seeing those spectacular photos displayed large-format in our beautiful gardens. Now, they have the opportunity to be part of it!"
She added, "We constantly see gorgeous photos of Belton shared on social media, so we know our visitors are a hugely talented bunch. I simply cannot wait to see the entries for 2026. With snowdrops starting to appear, now is a wonderful time to visit and get your shots."
The winning photographs from the Beauty of Belton Estate award will be featured in the main IGPOTY exhibition at the estate. The display will run from Friday, March 27 to Wednesday, May 27, 2026.
