Free Holiday Clubs Return to Birmingham Summer 2026

Free Holiday Clubs for Birmingham Children This Summer

Birmingham's big school holiday programme is back for 2026, offering hundreds of free holiday clubs for children from low-income families. The Bring it on Brum! programme, run by Birmingham City Council's Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) initiative, provides healthy meals, enriching activities and funded childcare places.

Children can enjoy indoor and outdoor games, cookery skills, arts and crafts, sports, fitness, dance, health and wellbeing activities, quizzes, park activities and nature trails. The programme aims to benefit the health, wellbeing and learning of school-aged children who receive benefit-related free school meals.

Funded by the Department for Education

Funded by the Department for Education, the clubs are coordinated by national sport for development charity StreetGames in partnership with Birmingham City Council, and delivered by local activity providers across the city. Every child who attends also receives a healthy meal.

A spokesman said: "We believe that everyone deserves a good break and that school holidays are better when children and young people are active, having fun, being entertained and learning new things."

The programme is for children and young people aged 4-16 eligible for benefits-related free school meals. Clubs run during the spring, summer and winter holidays. Bookings for the summer open on Monday June 29. Each eligible child will be given a code from school, which can be used to book clubs on times and dates that suit.

Parents can subscribe in advance via the Bring it on Brum website. StreetGames works with 1,600 trusted local community organisations, addressing issues such as poor mental health, food poverty, youth crime and lack of employment opportunities.
