According to the Met Office, the region will experience highs of 28C on July 5, with bright and warm conditions expected in the evening. However, low cloud will move back in overnight, bringing mist and fog patches in some areas, though it will remain dry with lows of 15C.
Monday Morning Outlook
Monday morning will see bright sunny skies, helping to banish any Monday blues, with the Met Office stating it will feel very warm in the sunshine across the region. Highs of 30C are predicted, accompanied by light winds.
Extended Forecast and Heat Alert
The Met Office outlook for the West Midlands from Tuesday to Thursday reads: "Staying dry and increasingly hot through the outlook. Plenty of strong sunshine and light winds, with some warm nights too." The rise in temperatures has prompted a week-long yellow warning from the UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA), covering the West Midlands, east, south-east, and south-west of England, and the East Midlands, in force until 8pm on July 11.
