A leading zoo and conservation charity in the South West is offering a financial lifeline to families this winter with the return of a beloved admission deal. Noah's Ark Zoo Farm has confirmed its Kids Go Free initiative will run once more, from December 27 to February 1, providing free entry for children accompanied by a paying adult.
Supporting Families During the January Squeeze
The offer is strategically timed to help households during a period often fraught with financial pressure. Following the expense of the festive season, January is widely acknowledged as a challenging month, prompting the zoo to act. Larry Bush, the zoo's managing director, emphasised the thinking behind the move. "January can be a tough time for families," he said. "By bringing back our Kids Go Free offer, we hope to make it easier for people to enjoy quality time together while experiencing the animals and open spaces our zoo has to offer."
The announcement comes after a record-breaking year for visitor numbers at the attraction, highlighting a sustained public appetite for wildlife encounters and accessible family activities. The zoo, which spans over 100 acres and is home to species including African elephants, white rhinos, lions, and the rescued tiger Aqua, provides an immersive experience with keeper talks and interactive learning.
A Green Start to the New Year with Tree Recycling
Alongside the ticket offer, the zoo is also preparing for the return of its major Christmas tree recycling campaign. This community initiative aims to repurpose real trees donated by the public after the holidays. The zoo has set an ambitious target to recycle a record 4,000 trees this January.
"We're aiming to recycle a record 4,000 donated Christmas trees this year, transforming them into enrichment, mulch, and compost to benefit both animals and the environment," explained Larry Bush. "This campaign remains our favourite way to begin the year - it's a great initiative that benefits our animals, our local community, and the environment."
More Than Just a Zoo Visit
For families taking advantage of the offer, a day out at Noah's Ark Zoo Farm extends beyond animal viewing. The site boasts:
- Spacious indoor and outdoor adventure play areas.
- Interactive exhibits and wide-open green spaces for exploration.
- A Farm Shop serving seasonal treats, ideal for warming up.
- Free parking for all visitors.
Located just outside Bristol in Clevedon, the zoo provides a full day of activity designed to combat the winter blues. The Kids Go Free offer is valid with every full-paying adult or concession ticket, making a wildlife adventure more accessible than ever during the colder months. Full terms and conditions can be found on the zoo's official website.
