Digbeth's Giant New Food Hall Announces Latest Batch of Vendors
Excitement is building for the opening of Alfred Works, Birmingham's massive new food hall, as organizers have revealed another wave of vendors set to serve hungry diners. The 17,500 square foot venue, located within the historic Custard Factory in Digbeth, is scheduled to launch later this year with 15 kitchens, a spacious outdoor courtyard, and dedicated areas for families and social gaming.
Local Favorites and International Flavors
The newly announced lineup includes several beloved Birmingham establishments alongside exciting newcomers bringing global cuisines to the city. The MilkCake Man, a former Kings Heath favorite that now operates a pop-up in Selfridges, will offer its Instagrammable sweet treats, including signature milk cakes, matcha drinks, mocktails, and chocolate-covered strawberries.
Esmie's Caribbean Fusion, known for years at Digbeth Dining Club and its Jewellery Quarter restaurant, will bring authentic Caribbean street food with bold, soulful dishes inspired by island flavors. Other notable additions include Clapping Seoul with modern Korean fusion, That Ziki serving authentic Greek gyros with meat marinated for 24 hours, and FUKU making its Birmingham debut with Asian fusion street food from Manchester.

A Vision for Independent Food Talent
Matt Bigland, Co-founder of Blend Family, expressed enthusiasm about the vendor lineup: "Alfred Works is about showcasing the depth of independent food talent in the UK, from cult street food names to operators bringing flavors that aren't always seen in city centre spaces. This line-up reflects everything we stand for: global influence, independent voices, and food that brings people together."
The food hall promises to become a major dining destination in Birmingham, offering everything from quick street food bites to leisurely meals in a vibrant, social atmosphere. With its diverse culinary offerings and community-focused initiatives, Alfred Works aims to establish itself as more than just a place to eat—it's designed to be a gathering space that celebrates food culture from around the world while supporting local talent and charitable causes.
