Halesowen Pub Asks Dog Owners to Leave Pets at Home During Heatwave
Halesowen Pub: Leave Dogs at Home in Heatwave

Halesowen micropub The Crafty Pint has issued a plea to dog owners, asking them to leave their pets at home during the current heatwave. While dogs are not banned from the venue, staff have urged customers to consider whether it is worth bringing them in such hot weather.

Heatwave Safety Concerns

Temperatures across the Midlands are expected to reach up to 34°C this week. The Crafty Pint, located at 8 Wassell Road, Halesowen, B63 4JU, is typically a dog-friendly establishment, but the pub has warned that dogs can overheat quickly in these conditions.

In a social media post, the pub stated: 'We love welcoming your dogs to the pub. But on these really hot days, it's just too warm for them to be out safely, even in the shade with water. Dogs can overheat quickly, and we want them happy, healthy and wagging their tails all summer long.'

Unique Garden Gets Too Hot

The pub highlighted that its garden is 'very unique' and gets extremely hot for dogs on the pavement. The post continued: 'Please have this in mind when deciding if it's worth bringing them along for your next Crafty trip. Thanks for understanding and keeping your pups safe.'

The Crafty Pint reassured customers that they look forward to welcoming dogs back when temperatures cool down, adding: 'We can't wait to see them back soon, tail wagging and ready for a sneaky treat from behind the bar.'

Regional Heatwave

The Midlands is experiencing another heatwave, with temperatures soaring to 34°C. The pub's proactive approach aims to prevent heat-related incidents among pets, emphasising that the welfare of the animals is the top priority.
