West Mercia Police are appealing for witnesses and dashcam footage after a serious crash left two people hospitalised in the village of Welland, Worcestershire. The collision occurred on Saturday evening, July 25, involving a Renault Clio and a Volvo XC40 on Drake Street.
Details of the Collision
The incident took place at 7.25pm on Drake Street, a local road in the Welland area of Malvern. According to police, the Renault Clio was travelling from Upton upon Severn towards Ledbury, while the Volvo XC40 was heading in the opposite direction. The two vehicles collided head-on, resulting in serious injuries for the Clio driver and front-seat passenger.
Emergency services attended the scene and transported the injured occupants to hospital. The Volvo driver and front-seat passenger were not seriously injured and did not require hospitalisation.

A spokesperson for West Mercia Police said: "We are appealing for witnesses following a two-vehicle road traffic collision in Welland, Malvern on Saturday evening. The collision occurred at 7.25pm on Drake Street and involved a Renault Clio and a Volvo XC40. The Clio is believed to have been travelling along Drake Street from the direction of Upton upon Severn towards Ledbury and the Volvo travelled in the opposing direction. The driver of the Clio and front seat passenger sustained serious injuries and were taken to hospital. The Volvo driver and passenger were not seriously injured."
Officers are particularly keen to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time of the crash, or who may have seen the vehicles before the impact. Anyone with CCTV or dashcam footage is urged to come forward.
