Cyclist Steve Williams 1,000th Ascent for Prostate Cancer

Steve Williams is set to complete his 1,000th cycle ascent of Llangynidr Mountain on Saturday, July 18, turning a long-running personal challenge into a fundraising effort to support prostate cancer research and care.

A Decade of Dedication

The milestone reflects years of commitment, with Steve regularly cycling the demanding route multiple times each week. The climb, which has become a personal benchmark, now represents thousands of miles ridden in support of a cause close to many families.

Community Invited to Join

The community is invited to take part in the event, starting at 1pm from Llangynidr Village Car Park. Supporters can join by cycling, walking, running or driving the route. Participants are also invited to gather afterwards at The Red Lion and The Coach & Horses for post-event refreshments.
