Tameside to Host Compassionate Bereavement Awareness Day
Residents across Tameside and the wider Greater Manchester area are warmly invited to attend a significant bereavement awareness day, titled Together Through Loss. This free community event is designed to provide vital support, information, and resources for individuals who have experienced loss at any stage in their lives.
Event Details and Location
The gathering will take place at Academy HQ in Stalybridge on January 30, running from noon to 7pm. Building on the success of the previous 'Never Walk Alone' bereavement event held in November 2024, this initiative underscores the message that grief has no time limit and that no one should face it alone.
Organisers and Supporters
The event is a collaborative effort, jointly organised by Tameside Council, Empowered to Thrive CIC, Finding Rainbows, and Mourning Brew. It receives additional support from Anthony Barton Funeral Service, ensuring a well-rounded approach to bereavement care.
What Attendees Can Expect
Together Through Loss promises a safe and inclusive environment where participants can:
- Hear from insightful speakers who will address various aspects of grief and recovery.

Together Through Loss is about reminding people that support is available, their feelings are valid, and they don't have to navigate loss alone. I'm grateful to everyone involved for creating a warm and inclusive space for our residents."
