Katseye's new EP Wild has arrived, but fans have noticed that Megan Skiendiel was absent from a fan signing on Monday, August 17th. Concerned followers quickly speculated whether she had joined bandmates Manon and Sophia on hiatus, but Megan has clarified the situation directly.
In a message posted on WeVerse on August 17th, Megan explained that she was taking a day off to rest because she was feeling unwell. She wrote: "Hey eyekons! I'm feeling a bit under the weather today so im going to take the day to take care of myself and rest ? just wanted to say hi and send my love ? ? see you guys soon!"
Megan's Day Off Explained
Megan's absence from the fan signing was not due to a hiatus. Up until that date, she had been actively participating in all Wild promotional activities alongside Yoonchae, Lara, and Daniela, including a performance of 'I Won't Say I'm In Love' at D23 on August 16th. Her message confirms that the break is temporary and health-related, not a departure from the group.
This is not the first time Megan has taken time away from Katseye. In 2024, she was on hiatus due to a back injury. Speaking about that experience in the band's new Wild Hearts documentary, Megan said: "When I was on hiatus, I was injured in my back, and it was definitely hard being able to see everything that the girls were doing and not being able to be there myself."

Since the start of the year, Katseye has seen several members take breaks. Manon has been on hiatus "to focus on her health and wellbeing" since February, and Sophia is currently taking time away to care for her "mind and body."
