£110 Cost of Living Vouchers for UK Households: How to Apply for Supermarket Help
£110 Cost of Living Vouchers for UK Households

Struggling households in one part of the UK are being offered a vital financial lifeline in the form of £110 supermarket vouchers to help with essential costs. The support comes from the latest round of the Household Support Fund (HSF), a government grant scheme.

Who is Eligible for the £110 Payment?

The scheme is currently being administered by Cambridgeshire Council for residents within its area. To qualify for the £110 per household award, applicants must meet specific criteria.

You must currently live in Cambridgeshire and have £16,000 or less in money, savings, and investments. Furthermore, if you live with a spouse or partner, you are required to make a joint application for your household. Your eligibility will be assessed on your combined income.

The council is clear that there is only one award per household for the current funding period, which runs from 1 April 2025 to 31 March 2026. If you have already received a payment during this time, you should not apply again.

How to Apply and Where to Spend the Vouchers

Eligible residents need to apply online through the council's website. The application process requires you to upload evidence of your income, such as three months of bank statements or payslips.

Successful applicants will receive their £110 financial award via email in the form of a voucher that can be redeemed at four major supermarket chains: Asda, Morrisons, Sainsbury's, and Tesco. It is important to note that only Asda vouchers from this scheme can be used for online shopping.

The council has warned that they have received a high volume of applications and are processing them as quickly as possible. They ask applicants not to submit duplicate forms or contact them to check progress within the stated timescale, as this will not speed up the process.

Key Dates and Application Window

The opportunity to apply for this round of support has specific opening times. Direct applications to the Household Support Fund were closed from midday on Monday 22 December 2025.

However, the application portal reopened on Monday 5 January 2026. Eligible households have until 31 March 2026 to apply for the one-off payment, subject to meeting the criteria.

The Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) oversees the Household Support Fund, which is funded by the Labour Party government. Cambridgeshire Council states that each case will be treated confidentially and processed fairly.
