Cannabis Found in Oven of Wolverhampton Grocery Store

West Midlands Police have arrested a 44-year-old man after discovering a substantial quantity of suspected cannabis inside an oven at a grocery store in Wolverhampton.

Search of Lalibela Groceries

Officers from the Wolverhampton Serious Organised Crime team, alongside Trading Standards, visited Lalibela Groceries on Newhampton Road West in the Whitmore Reans area on the afternoon of July 2. During a search of the premises, they recovered a large amount of suspected cannabis from inside an oven.

Arrest and Investigation

The man was arrested on suspicion of possessing drugs with intent to supply and remains in police custody. Enquiries are ongoing as the investigation continues, according to a force spokesperson.
