The Department for Work and Pensions has made an exceptional announcement affecting all 24 million benefit claimants. DWP boss Pat McFadden has hailed the appointment of Lisa Tremble as Non-Executive Director and Chair of the Executive Leadership Board, marking a significant step in the Labour government's efforts to modernize the welfare system.

Appointment Details

On Wednesday, May 20, the DWP confirmed that Lisa Tremble will bring extensive expertise in HR, leadership, and transformation, including senior experience at British Airways. The appointment adheres to the Public Appointments Governance Code.

Lisa joins the DWP from the Cabinet Office, where she served as a Non-Executive Board Member. The role carries a fee of £15,000 per annum, plus an additional £5,000 for chairing the Executive Leadership Board. Non-Executive Board Members provide support and challenge to the department’s ministers and senior officials on key policies and programmes.
