Nationwide has issued an update for customers unable to view statements in the app. The building society, which has branches in Birmingham, has replied to Twitter/X users struggling with accessing older documents.
How to Access Statements
The mutual stated: "You can view and download current account, savings and credit card statements from the last 36 months through your internet banking or your app." For anything older than 36 months, customers are advised to start a chat on their banking app or internet banking, or call 03457 302011.
What Your Statement Shows
Your full statement displays your account balance (real-time funds) and available balance (accessible funds, including pending payments and uncleared cheques). It also lists transactions made, arranged overdraft, charges due, IBAN, BIC, and SWIFT numbers. If the balance is zero with no transactions in the previous month, no statement is sent.
Downloading Statements
From your statement archive, you can download up to 36 months of statements as PDF files. For multiple statements, repeat the steps for each one. For savings accounts, the statement shows the account balance (amount spent up to the previous working day) and transactions, with the same zero-balance rule.
Security and Compatibility
To use this feature, you need an Apple device compatible with Apple Pay and your debit or credit card added to the Apple Wallet app. This helps keep your account details secure and protects your privacy. You can remove the connection at any time.
