Seven photos have been released showing the state of Walsall Council's former One Stop Shop at the Civic Centre, which has been completely stripped out since its closure during the pandemic.
Complete Removal of Fixtures and Fittings
The area that once served as the front-of-house for residents needing access to council services now lies bare. All furniture, air conditioning units, flooring, and ceiling tiles have been removed, leaving electrical wires hanging throughout the space.
Photos Document the Transformation
The seven images, taken in June 2026 by Local Democracy Reporter Rachel Alexander, capture the extent of the removal work. Each photo shows a different angle of the former One Stop Shop, highlighting the empty shell that remains.
The closure, which occurred during the COVID-19 pandemic, has led to this complete overhaul of the space. The Civic Centre location in Walsall once provided a central point for residents to access various council services.
