Katie Price's husband, Lee Andrews, has reportedly been arrested again in Dubai, just weeks after his release from a Dubai prison where he was held on suspicion of espionage. The 42-year-old businessman was taken to Lahbab police station on Friday, 10 July, and handed a £120,000 fine, according to reports.
While Ms Price remains in the UK, where her documentary Katie Price: Nothing To Hide has just launched, Mr Andrews is said to have told a friend: "They've arrested me. Katie might need to bail me out. We need to make a noise with a GoFundMe."
Details of the arrest
The Sun reported that a source close to Mr Andrews described him as "stressed" in the lead-up to his alleged arrest, adding that he "needed to raise money he believed he owed." The latest development comes just weeks after his release from a Dubai jail.
Mr Andrews had vanished in May 2026 after failing to attend a This Morning interview with Katie. She initially claimed he had been kidnapped, saying he called her with his hands tied, before later revealing he was imprisoned on suspicion of espionage. Others have suggested his alleged debts were the true cause.
Previous imprisonment and debt issues
Reports suggested he was boasting while imprisoned that his wife would stump up the cash to secure his freedom, yet the former model refused to contribute any funds. The Sun reported that Ms Price had assisted her husband in communicating with authorities during his imprisonment, but maintained he was capable of clearing the debts independently. He was apparently granted a fortnight to produce £69,000, or risk being detained and imprisoned once more.
After reappearing on social media, Mr Andrews assured his followers that his detention bore no connection to fraud or criminal behaviour.
The Mirror has contacted Mr Andrews, Ms Price's representatives and Dubai Police seeking further comment.
