Doncaster Sheffield Airport is calling on teams of budding golfers to join its staff for a major fundraising tournament on Monday, August 17. The event will raise vital funds for two local good causes: The Eve Merton Dreams Trust, which supports seriously ill people, and Mayflower Sanctuary, which rescues animals across South Yorkshire.
Event Details and Registration
The charity golf day will be held at Styrrup Hall Golf and Country Club in Doncaster. Organisers are looking for 24 teams to sign up and play a full round at the popular regional course. This competition marks the first official community charity initiative launched by the new operating firm of the airport, which is currently making progress with its highly anticipated reopening plans.
Teams wanting to enter should email dsa@doncaster.gov.uk. Every participating team will get to enjoy a full day of golf while supporting worthy causes.
Charities Chosen by Staff
The more than 50 employees at Doncaster Sheffield Airport voted on the charities they want to support for the coming year, selecting The Eve Merton Dreams Trust and Mayflower Sanctuary. Staff will plan future events over the next 12 months to raise vital funds for these two chosen charities.

This partnership is a fantastic opportunity to bring the South Yorkshire community together through a wonderful calendar of events. The airport is a focal point for our region. By hosting these community activities rescue dogs and cats in our care are given a vital platform. Every bit of involvement from the public will directly help Mayflower Sanctuary.”
