Conway staged their Summer Long Course Meet at Wavertree over the weekend, drawing numerous local entries. Chibwe Bukenya of Bridgefield delivered an outstanding performance, securing three golds, two silvers, and a bronze while achieving several personal bests. Niko Dorsz also impressed, earning three golds and a bronze alongside six personal bests.
Outstanding Performances
Poppy Read claimed two golds, including a personal best in the 1500m Freestyle, and added a bronze in the 400m Individual Medley with another personal best. Daniel Morrison accumulated a gold, four silvers, and a bronze, all accompanied by personal bests. Emmy Rimmer won gold in the 50m Breaststroke, while Mason Pollock took gold in the 50m Freestyle.
Daniel Jackson led the Crosby team with three golds, including personal bests in the 100m Freestyle and 100m Backstroke. Max Roberts achieved four personal bests, two of which came during his gold medal wins in the 400m and 800m Freestyle. Edie Leung and Riley Powell were among other medal winners, with golds for Amelie Toker and Sofia Davies in the 200m Freestyle.
City of Liverpool Success
Mia Robinson stood out for the City of Liverpool, securing three golds and a silver, while Flynn Robinson earned two golds, a silver, and a bronze. Thea Robinson took gold in the 200m Freestyle and 200m Individual Medley, plus silver in the 100m Backstroke. Dylan Harte continued his good form with a gold and two silvers, and Ethan Kelly stormed to gold in the 400m Freestyle.
Bebington's Sophia Hewlett impressed with gold in the 200m Freestyle and silver in the 200m Backstroke. Lilyan Hales added gold in the 800m Freestyle, and Fred Almond earned a silver and a bronze. Ella Harrop claimed bronze in the 400m Freestyle.
Other Medal Winners
Daisy Chisnall was prominent for St Helens, claiming two golds, two silvers, and a bronze. Oliver Crosby supported well with two golds and a silver, all personal bests. Rose Terry, Ben Hampson, Sofia Bagdonavicius, Charlie Cookson-Cliffe, and Freya Ashton were among other medal winners. Halton's Freya Karaski took gold in the 200m Individual Medley along with four bronze medals, including a personal best in the 100m Backstroke. Zerrin Bentham of Bootle and North Liverpool ended the weekend with three golds, setting personal bests in the 800m Freestyle and 200m Breaststroke.
British Masters Championships
At the British Masters Championships in Aberdeen, Southport's Helen Jenkins picked up four golds, a silver, and a bronze. In the 25-29 Age Group, club colleague Joshua Moniz took silver in the 100m Butterfly and 100m Backstroke. Neil Kemp of Hoylake started with gold in the 100m Breaststroke, then added gold in the 200m Breaststroke and bronze in the 50m Breaststroke. Anna Underwood and Ben Johnson provided good support. Sean Keyes of City of Liverpool earned silver in the 200m Butterfly, with teammate Lois Keyes also delivering strong performances.
