Ware Joggers Shine at Southend Rudolph Run with Top Three Finish
Ware Joggers Excel at Festive Southend 5-Mile Race

Runners from Ware Joggers lit up the Essex coast with a series of impressive performances at a popular festive race. The club's members brought seasonal cheer and competitive spirit to the Southend Rudolph Run, a five-mile event that forms part of the club's 2025-26 championship league.

Podium Success on the Seafront

The race, which encourages festive dress, starts and finishes on Southend's iconic seafront. Alex Chappell led the Ware Joggers charge with a superb third-place finish overall, recording a gun time of 29 minutes and 37 seconds. He was swiftly followed by teammate Tim Brignall, who crossed the line as the seventh overall finisher and the second Ware Jogger home in 31:29.

Strong Finishes Across the Field

The club's depth was on full display as Neil Bull secured ninth place overall with a time of 31 minutes and 54 seconds. In the women's field, Pamela Wilson delivered an exceptional run. She was the ninth female finisher overall and the first Ware Jogger woman to complete the course. Her time of 39:35 also earned her first place in the competitive Female Vet 70 category.

Age Category Achievements

Michelle Cross provided further cause for celebration for the Hertfordshire-based running club. She finished as the second Ware Jogger female and the 14th woman overall, stopping the clock at 40:44. This strong performance also secured her second place in the Female Vet 55 age group.

The event demonstrated the thriving community and competitive standard within the Ware Joggers club, as members combined festive fun with serious racing in the latest fixture of their championship series.
