Cycling 4 All raises £2,840 at festive Christmas bazaar in Wrexham
Wrexham cycling charity raises thousands at festive bazaar

A Wrexham-based charity dedicated to inclusive cycling has successfully raised vital funds through a festive Christmas event, securing over two thousand pounds to support its community work.

Festive Fundraiser at Grosvenor Estate

Cycling 4 All, the all-ability cycling charity operating from Alyn Waters Country Park, hosted a Christmas bazaar that brought in an impressive £2,840. The event was held at the Grosvenor’s Eaton Estate with the kind permission of the Duke and Duchess of Westminster.

Guests were welcomed with a glass of fizz and festive music performed by Nigel Reader, who is also a trustee for the charity. A delicious selection of seasonal food was provided by Caffi Cyfle, keeping visitors energised as they browsed stalls from local retailers offering unique Christmas gifts.

Supporting the Vital Pedal Power Service

The funds raised are crucial for the charity's Pedal Power service, which runs on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays. This service offers a fleet of specialist and standard bikes, including trikes, side-by-sides, hand bikes, wheelchair bikes, mountain bikes, and electric bikes.

Pedal Power provides safe, inclusive cycling opportunities for people of all ages and abilities in a traffic-free environment. It relies on dedicated volunteers and cycling officers. The service receives no public funding and must raise money annually to maintain its fleet, much of which is over a decade old.

Thanks to the Community

Speaking after the event, trustee Nigel Reader expressed his gratitude. "I’d like to express my sincere thanks to everyone who came along to the Christmas Bazaar and helped us raise vital funds in support of the Pedal Power service," he said.

"I’m also extremely grateful to the local businesses for their generous donations of prizes and gifts, to the stallholders who took part, and to the volunteers whose dedication and hard work made the event such a success."

The charity's work enables hundreds of people to experience the joy, freedom, and health benefits of cycling. To learn more about Cycling 4 All, volunteer, or make a donation, you can visit www.cycling4all.org or follow Pedal Power Wrexham on social media for updates.
