Aston Villa Confirm 5% Season Ticket Hike for 2026-27

Aston Villa have confirmed a 5% increase in season ticket and match-by-match ticket prices for the 2026-27 season, while Champions League tickets for non-season ticket holders will cost up to £99. This marks the second consecutive year of 5% rises, despite significant backlash over Champions League pricing in the 2024-25 campaign.

Capacity Reduction and Pricing

Due to the closure of the North Stand for redevelopment, Villa Park's capacity will drop to approximately 37,000 next season. The stand is scheduled to reopen before the 2027-28 season, increasing capacity to over 50,000. A Zone 1 adult season ticket for 19 Premier League games will cost £997.50, averaging £52.50 per match. The club also offers a bundle including four home Champions League league phase matches for £1,297.50, effectively costing £75 per Champions League game, roughly 10% cheaper than individual purchases.

Match-by-Match Prices Frozen for 2027-28

Villa have guaranteed a freeze on match-by-match tickets for the 2027-28 campaign, following two years of 10% increases. Category 3 fixtures are the most expensive Premier League games, with Category 4 covering the rest. New Premier League match-by-match prices are:

  • Zone 2: £81
  • Zone 3: £75
  • Zone 4: £61

Category 4

Family Package and Concessions

The family season ticket package has increased from £1,615 to £1,691. Home domestic cup matches will be capped at £25 for adults, £20 for over-66s, under-21s, and armed forces personnel, and £10 for under-18s. Villa also plan to introduce a veterans' discount from 2027-28, offering concession pricing for former Armed Forces members.

Investment in Stadium and Fan Experience

The primary driver for the price increase is investment in the stadium and matchday experience. Since 2024, Villa have invested £6 million in projects including upgrading toilet facilities in the Doug Ellis Stand, Trinity Road Stand, and Holte End, redecorating concourses, and adding kiosks and bars in the Trinity Road Upper and Doug Ellis Upper. By the start of next season, all seats in the stadium will have been replaced.
