Birmingham City have reportedly reached an agreement with Belgian side Anderlecht to sign striker Luis Vazquez for a fee in the region of €3.5 million (£2.9 million). The 25-year-old Argentine is already in England to undergo a medical, according to journalist Luca Bendoni.

Vazquez, who joined Anderlecht from Boca Juniors in 2023, struggled for regular game time in Belgium. He made only 14 appearances in the Belgian Pro League last season, scoring two goals. In the second half of the campaign, he was loaned to La Liga side Getafe, where he netted three times in 12 appearances. Despite his performances, Getafe opted not to make the move permanent, and he returned to Anderlecht.
During his time at Boca Juniors, Vazquez scored 16 goals in 99 games before making the move to Europe. He is now set to become the latest addition to Chris Davies' squad as Birmingham prepare for the 2026/27 Championship campaign.
