Birmingham City travel to Wrexham tonight (8pm kick-off) looking to secure their first Championship victory of the season at the Racecourse Ground, also known as Stōk Cae Ras.
Blues have started the league campaign with two draws: a 0-0 stalemate at Sheffield United and a 2-2 home draw against Bristol City, with Demarai Gray converting a stoppage-time penalty to earn a point. In midweek, Chris Davies' side were eliminated from the Carabao Cup after a 6-1 defeat at Premier League Brentford.
Wrexham's contrasting preparation
Wrexham, managed by Phil Parkinson, have also begun with successive draws in the Championship. Unlike Blues, they had a free week after exiting the cup to Middlesbrough in early August, giving them additional rest ahead of this encounter.
Both teams are therefore seeking their first league win of the season, adding significance to this evening's clash.

The last two matches between these clubs at the Racecourse Ground have both ended 1-1. At St Andrew's, Blues have won twice against Wrexham, including a 2-0 victory in April with goals from Carlos Vicente and Christoph Klarer.
