Birmingham City have called off the proposed transfer of Ghana international Mohammed Fuseini, BirminghamLive understands. The deal with Union Saint-Gilloise has collapsed despite the 24-year-old having travelled to England for talks with the club over the weekend.
Fuseini had been expected to become Blues' seventh signing of the summer transfer window. He was left out of Union Saint-Gilloise's squad for their Sunday evening match against Anderlecht to facilitate the move, but is now expected to return to Belgium.
Millar arrives on loan from Hull City
Instead, Birmingham City have agreed a deal to sign Canada international Liam Millar from Hull City on loan. The 26-year-old travelled to Birmingham on deadline day and is due to attend the evening's fixture against Southampton at St Andrew's @ Knighthead Park.
Millar was identified as Blues' preferred option to replace Ibrahim Osman late in the window, after it became clear that Brighton & Hove Albion were not willing to sell the winger.
Millar's recent form and Championship pedigree
Millar joins Blues having scored his first Premier League goal for Hull City at Coventry on Saturday. He also played a key role in Hull's promotion to the top flight in May.
The Canadian has played nearly a century of Championship games for Hull and Preston North End. He is expected to compete with Demarai Gray for the left-wing position in Birmingham City's starting lineup.
