The draw at Bramall Lane was a significant improvement on the disastrous December defeat that had troubled manager Chris Davies, with Blues matching the Blades and earning a deserved point. Blues' defensive performance was the cornerstone of the result, limiting a talented Sheffield United forward line to just one genuine goalscoring opportunity. Davies attributed Osayi-Samuel's improvement to his increased fitness and better understanding of the role, noting that he did not have a full pre-season last year after his time in Turkey. "What Bright is doing now is doing those basics really consistently and looking like a good player," he added.
