Six talented college football players and their manager have been officially honoured after winning a prestigious national tournament. The rising stars were presented with international caps, commemorative shirts, and winners' medals during a special ceremony in South Wales.

Osian Morris Named Player of the Season

Adding to the celebration, student Osian Morris was named the Welsh Schools FA Staff Player of the Season. The Welsh Schools under-18 team secured a grand slam by winning every single fixture in the Centenary Shield competition.

Strong Representation from Grŵp Llandrillo Menai

Students from Grŵp Llandrillo Menai made up a third of the victorious national squad. Marc Lloyd Williams, team manager and Coleg Menai tutor, said: “It’s a remarkable achievement by all of the students.” He continued: “To have a third of the squad from Grŵp Llandrillo Menai is a testament to the pathway we provide within the Grŵp for students to combine their education with elite sport.”

Decisive Final Victory

The national side sealed their trophy victory with a 3-1 win against the Republic of Ireland in their final fixture. College students Charlie Griffith and Owen Roberts scored crucial goals during the decisive match to secure the title. The honoured players include Sam Parry, Cai Roberts, Deian Andrews, Charlie Griffith, Osian Morris, and Owen Roberts.
