Ipswich Town expert Mark Heath has described Conor Townsend's return to West Bromwich Albion as 'a real shame' for the Tractor Boys, but believes the Baggies are now 'back on track' following the left-back's loan spell at Portman Road.

Townsend joined Ipswich on loan in January and made an immediate impression, starting 12 of the club's 13 Championship matches during his stint. The 31-year-old provided two assists and helped solidify a defence that had been struggling for consistency.
