Wolves defender Ladislav Krejci hopes to bring a buzz back to Molineux as Wolves face Sunderland on Saturday. Wolves have lost three in a row after relegation was confirmed, and were beaten by Spurs at home last time out.
Krejci's call for atmosphere
They now return to Molineux to welcome mid-table Sunderland, hoping to give fans a reason to cheer.
“We 100 per cent want to return to the Villa and Liverpool atmospheres,” Krejci said. “That’s what we’re looking for, what we’re training for, and it was our aim to have it at this point. Unluckily we didn’t continue with it, but it’s something we feel we can do. We’ll be looking to do it again.
“Four games is a long time, a lot of opportunities to show that we’re taking it seriously and not just throwing the games behind our backs.”
Professionalism amid interest
Although Wolves are already relegated, they have four matches remaining to take some momentum and positivity into a crucial summer. Krejci, who has been attracting interest from Leeds and other clubs and also has the World Cup this summer with Czechia, is adamant he is focused on Wolves’ fixtures and staying professional.
He added: “For me, it’s very important. It’s the same as it was at the beginning, I don’t see the difference. Of course, the situation is different, but for me every game we’re representing Wolves, our fans, our club, so I will go in the same direction.
“This mentality is from everyone. I’m grateful for it, because everyone knows what we’re still playing for. We’ll do our best.
“The World Cup is something I’m looking forward to, but we still have games to play here and I’m concentrating on them. Finishing the season strong is my aim.”
