Birmingham City concluded their home campaign with a 2-1 victory over Bristol City, but for nine players, it may have been their final appearance at St Andrew's. The annual lap of appreciation followed, with every squad member, including injured players, thanking supporters for their backing throughout the season. However, the upcoming summer window is expected to bring significant changes to the squad.
Players Likely to Leave
Jonathan Panzo
Panzo, who signed a short-term deal in January, is unlikely to be offered a new contract. The 25-year-old started well against Leeds United and Norwich City but has since fallen out of favour, with Phil Neumann and Jack Robinson preferred as backups to Christoph Klarer. Panzo is expected to seek his 11th club in the summer.
Tommy Doyle
Doyle's future away from St Andrew's has been clear for some time. The midfielder has started only one of the last 10 games, and manager Chris Davies has not pursued a permanent move. Wolves are set to welcome Doyle back for pre-season, and he is likely to feature in another Championship squad next season.
James Beadle
Beadle has had a mixed relationship with Blues fans, with ironic cheers greeting simple contributions in recent games. The 21-year-old goalkeeper, on loan from Brighton, has not met the required Championship standard. While relations between the clubs are strong, Blues need a more experienced goalkeeper for next season.
Ibrahim Osman
Osman is a fan favourite, but his return is not guaranteed. Davies publicly expressed desire to keep the 21-year-old Ghanaian after his star performance against Preston, but Brighton may want to use him or other offers could emerge. Osman is viewed as a Premier League talent.
Jhon Solis
Blues have an option to sign Solis permanently from Girona, but the finances must make sense, and Solis must want to return. His adaptability to English football has attracted interest from other Championship and higher-level clubs, so Blues may face competition.
Jack Robinson
The 32-year-old centre-back has one year left on his contract but has not shown he can be a first-choice for a promotion-chasing team. With Klarer and Neumann ahead, and another centre-back needed to replace Panzo, Robinson could become fourth choice. It is felt no one would stand in his way if he wanted to leave.
Kanya Fujimoto
Davies promised Fujimoto more minutes five games ago, but the Japanese midfielder has not played since. Blues would have offloaded him in January if a suitor had come forward, and it seems unlikely he will be part of next season's squad under Davies.
Kyogo Furuhashi
Davies appeared to lose faith in Kyogo before he scored his first Championship goal in January, and he struggled for playing time afterwards. Kyogo missed many chances, and Blues now need to recoup as much money as possible from the costly deal to acquire him from Rennes last year.
Marvin Ducksch
Despite being the top scorer, Ducksch's future is uncertain after being charged with drink-driving on Easter Monday. Davies did not use him in the final two home matches. Ducksch has shown quality, such as his brace against Coventry City, but has also been anonymous in other games. A summer departure is feasible.
