Tolu Arokodare has completed a move from Wolverhampton Wanderers to Ajax, joining the Dutch Eredivisie side on a season-long loan with an option to buy. The 23-year-old Nigerian striker will spend the 2024-25 campaign in Amsterdam, with Ajax holding the right to make the transfer permanent at the end of the season.

Arokodare, who joined Wolves from Belgian club KRC Genk in January 2023 for a reported fee of €6 million, struggled for game time at Molineux. He made only seven appearances for Wolves in all competitions, scoring once, and spent the second half of last season on loan at Spanish club Osasuna, where he featured 11 times without finding the net.
The striker's move to Ajax is seen as an opportunity for him to reignite his career. Ajax, who finished fifth in the Eredivisie last season, are rebuilding their squad under new head coach Francesco Farioli.
