Aston Villa have completed a transfer as Unai Emery has sanctioned the departure of Samuel Iling-Junior from Villa Park. Iling-Junior has left the club to join Bolton Wanderers on a season-long loan.
This marks the fifth loan of the player's Villa career since arriving from Juventus. He has previously been loaned to Bologna, Middlesbrough, West Brom and Pisa.
Iling-Junior's Ambition at Bolton
Speaking about the move, Iling-Junior said: "I spoke to the manager (Steven Schumacher) and he understood my journey. That is what attracted me here, to take the next step in my career. I want to have a good season, put smiles on everyone's faces and be a consistent starter for this team."
He also referenced his familiarity with Bolton's stadium, adding: "I've got good experience of this (Bolton) stadium already. I scored a brace against Luxembourg here, so that was a good night."
Playing Style and Expectations
Describing his style, Iling-Junior continued: "I'm a direct player. I like to be creative and, most of all, I work hard for the team and want to express myself on the pitch."
The loan is expected to provide the winger with regular first-team football, as he seeks to build on his experience and make a significant impact at Bolton Wanderers.
