West Brom's Styles: 'We Could Do Another 40 Games'

Callum Styles, West Bromwich Albion's standout left-back, has expressed the team's newfound confidence under caretaker manager James Morrison, stating that the in-form Baggies 'could do another 40 games' and hope to carry their momentum into next season.

End-of-Season Awards and Unbeaten Run

The Hungary international pocketed both the players' and supporters' player of the season awards after a stellar campaign. His consistency has been a rare bright spot in an otherwise forgettable season for Albion, who salvaged their Championship status with a stunning 10-match unbeaten run orchestrated by Morrison. The Baggies bring the campaign to a close at bottom-club Sheffield Wednesday on Saturday.

Styles on Morrison's Impact

Styles, 26, who has featured in 44 of 45 Championship fixtures this season (40 as a starter), believes Morrison's side could push on to a much stronger position. 'We don't want the summer to come,' Styles said. 'We're in good form, we feel like we could do another 40 games right now and then see where we're at then! But no, I mean, we'll enjoy the summer now. I think everyone's got a bit of a relief and we just want to stay ready for next season and hopefully it's better.'

Commitment to the Club

The Manchester-born left-sider, who also earned his 30th cap for Hungary (where he plays in midfield), has two years left on the four-year deal he signed when arriving from League One Barnsley for a nominal fee in 2024. 'I love it here,' Styles added. 'I love the staff, love everybody, backroom staff, everything. The players are top, top quality lads. And the club's just a massive club. I was just blessed to be here when I arrived, taking everything in my stride and looking at the team when I first arrived I was like 'wow, this team's unbelievable.' I'm just blessed to be here and we just have to keep pushing to what and where West Brom should be, and that's looking up, not down.'

Morrison's future at The Hawthorns remains unresolved, but the momentum from this late-season surge offers hope for a stronger 2026-27 campaign.
