Community club Wrexham Foresters has plenty to celebrate this summer. The club’s women’s team has achieved a remarkable double by winning its league and securing club promotion. This incredible achievement is made even more impressive as it has been accomplished in the club’s very first season.
President Praises Team's Consistency
Wrexham Foresters club president James Wilson expressed his pride: “I am so proud of the women’s team. The team has performed consistently well throughout the season. It hasn’t lost a game and only drew one. However, that is only part of the story, as not only has the team won the league, but it has been promoted into Division Two after only one season. I am so excited to see what happens next season.”
Manager and Player Reflect on Success
Kirstie Kural, player and women’s team manager at Wrexham Foresters, added: “I’m proud of what we've achieved this season. The commitment and hard work from everyone involved have helped us earn this opportunity. We're looking forward to the challenge of competing in T2 and continuing to build on the progress we've made already.”
The Wrexham Foresters Women’s team is part of Wrexham City Football Club, a new grassroots community club formed in 2025. The club is now moving into Division Two of the Adran North Ladies League, which is overseen by the Football Association of Wales (FAW).
