A popular golf and entertainment venue in Birmingham has closed suddenly and said it could be going for good. Mr Mulligans, based at Broadway Plaza in Ladywood Middleway in the city centre, has confirmed its doors are now shut.
The indoor crazy golf venue, which has three nine-hole courses and sells food and drink for those looking for a night out or weekend activity, confirmed the closure on Friday (June 12). The venue has said it is considering a ‘permanent closure’. It opened its doors for the first time in December 2018.

Posting on its website social media channels shortly after 12.30pm it said: “Important Update Regarding Mulligans Birmingham. Following a sustained period of review, Mulligans Birmingham has closed its doors whilst we consider closing on a permanent basis. We would like to sincerely thank all of our customers for their support and loyalty during our time in Birmingham.”
The statement continued: “Our focus over the coming weeks will be supporting our team members and communicating directly with customers regarding any relevant updates to bookings or operations. For any customer enquiries, please contact: info.birmingham@mrmulligan.com. Thank you for your support and understanding.”
Broadway Plaza Context
Broadway Plaza, which is not far from the top of Broad Street, is geared for the weekend and night-time economy, with an Odeon Luxe cinema, Rock Up climbing centre and Hollywood Bowl. It has food and drink outlets including Domino’s, Dixy Chicken, Subway, i-Krave, Meat Club and Costa Coffee. Article continues below. And also a Travelodge hotel and a Nuffield health centre.
