Wes Harding signs for Plymouth among ex-Blues moves

Former Birmingham City defender Wes Harding has signed for League One promotion hopefuls Plymouth Argyle on a two-year contract. The 29-year-old, who made 60 appearances for Blues after graduating from the club's academy, was released by Millwall at the end of last season. He has been named vice-captain by Plymouth boss Tom Cleverley.

Other ex-Blues transfers

Charlie Lakin has signed for League Two side Barnet after being released by Walsall. Northampton Town have secured ex-Blues goalkeeper Zach Jeacock on a season-long loan from Lincoln City. The 25-year-old started four Championship games for Blues before leaving in January 2024.

Tyler Roberts has committed to Mansfield Town after spending time on loan with the League One side last season. His loan was made permanent in January, and he has now signed a new one-year deal. League One title winner Ben Davies has joined newly-promoted Championship club Bolton Wanderers. Davies played 44 times for Blues in 2024/25 and spent last season on loan at Oxford, with his contract at Rangers expiring this summer.

Ex-Blues loanee Andre Dozzell rejected a new contract at Portsmouth to sign for MLS club DC United. Several former Blues men—Alfie Chang, Przemysław Płacheta, Connor Mahoney, Geraldo Bajrami, and Josh Andrews—will become free agents from July 1.
