Caerphilly's Easter Holiday Programme Offers Fun Activities for Families
This Easter, Caerphilly County Borough is set to host a diverse array of activities designed to keep children and families active, entertained, and engaged throughout the school holidays. The comprehensive programme, delivered by Leisure Lifestyle, Sport Caerphilly, Caerphilly Play, and Caerphilly Adventures, includes swimming sessions, sports camps, outdoor adventures, and inclusive play opportunities.
Swimming Activities with Leisure Lifestyle
Leisure Lifestyle will provide a variety of swimming options across all leisure centres in the borough. Families can enjoy inflatable sessions, family fun swims, and extended holiday timetables. Additionally, crash course swimming lessons will be available at Caerphilly Leisure Centre and Newbridge Leisure Centre, aimed at helping children build confidence and develop essential water skills.
Sports Camps by Sport Caerphilly
Sport Caerphilly is offering a mix of football and multi-sport activities for young people. The Football Camps at the Centre for Sporting Excellence are priced at £13.90 per day, running from 9am to 3pm for ages seven to twelve, with specific dates including girls-only sessions. The Easter Sport Scheme, also at £13.90 per day, will be held at Caerphilly, Heolddu, Newbridge, and Risca Leisure Centres from Monday, March 30 to Friday, April 10.
Inclusive Play Sessions from Caerphilly Play
Caerphilly Play brings free and inclusive play opportunities for children and families. Highlights include a Disability Play Session at the Centre for Skills and Learning in Pontllanfraith, free for ages four to seventeen on Thursday, April 2 from 10am to 12pm. A Pop Up Play Session at the same location, free for ages four to twelve on Thursday, April 2 from 1pm to 2.30pm, requires no booking. Play in the Park events will be held at Bargoed Park on Monday, March 30, Senghenydd Park on Tuesday, March 31, and Waunfawr Park on Wednesday, April 1, all from 11am to 2pm and free for all ages.
Adventure Experiences with Caerphilly Adventures
Caerphilly Adventures offers indoor and outdoor experiences for families. Climbing Wall Sessions at the Centre for Skills & Learning are available for £8.25 per person for ages seven and above, with multiple time slots on Tuesday, March 31, Tuesday, April 7, and Friday, April 10. Junior Adventure Days in Cwmcarn Forest cost £34.60 per day from 9am to 3pm for ages seven to twelve, running from Tuesday, April 7 to Friday, April 10, and include activities such as bushcraft, adventure walks, canoeing, and stand-up paddleboarding.
