West Bromwich Albion striker Josh Maja has revealed that first-team coach James Morrison is the driving force behind the high standards at the club, pushing players to excel both on and off the pitch.
Morrison's influence on the squad
Maja, who joined the Baggies in the summer, praised Morrison for his demanding approach during training sessions. The former Scotland international, who made over 300 appearances for West Brom, has transitioned into a coaching role and is instilling a winning mentality.
"James Morrison has been massive for me since I came in," Maja told the club's official website. "He's always on at me, demanding more, and that's what you need. He's been there and done it at the highest level, so when he speaks, you listen."

The 24-year-old forward emphasized that Morrison's standards are non-negotiable, with every drill and session designed to replicate match intensity. "The gaffer has set the tone, but Morro is the one who drives it day in, day out. If you're not at it, he'll let you know. But that's what makes us better as a group."
