Anthony Wawrzyniak Dominates with 12 Gold Medals
The Warrington Summer Grand Prix delivered outstanding results over the weekend, with numerous clubs participating. Halton's Anthony Wawrzyniak was the star performer, securing an incredible 12 gold medals from 12 races, including four personal bests (PBs).
Freya Karaski and Edward Marsh Shine
Freya Karaski also had a busy and successful weekend, taking home six golds, two silvers, and a bronze. She achieved a PB in the 200m Breaststroke en route to gold. Edward Marsh collected five golds and two silvers, while Elliott Noone earned three golds, two silvers, and a bronze.
Other Notable Halton Medal Winners
Isabella Cranney, Amelia Williamson, Jacob Agate, and Beth Macgugan were among the standout performers. Eva Cranney won gold in both the 50m and 100m Breaststroke, and Eloise Edwards added two golds and a silver.
Bridgefield's Lucas Sharratt Impresses
Lucas Sharratt of Bridgefield delivered a strong performance, recording seven PBs while winning three golds, two silvers, and three bronzes. Niko Dorsz claimed three golds and two silvers, and Emilia Sharratt took one gold, two silvers, and a bronze.
Wirral Metro's Hope Birley-Brown Excels
Wirral Metro's Hope Birley-Brown enjoyed a productive weekend, earning eight golds and three silvers. Clubmate Lottie Abbott-Beck added two golds, four silvers, and two bronzes. Nieve Sillitoe's hard work paid off with two golds, three silvers, and two bronzes. Sebastian Sillitoe collected six silvers and two bronzes, while Nate Weston secured a silver and three bronzes.
Prescot's Zach Warburton Leads Team
Zach Warburton led the Prescot team with seven gold medals, including five PBs. Chloe Stewart supported strongly with five golds and three silvers. Ella Hewett achieved four golds with four PBs, and Yi Kai Chen took three golds, four silvers, and a bronze. Jacob Lupton won gold in the 50m, 100m, and 200m Backstroke, plus a bronze in the 50m Freestyle. Alfie Costello and Ava Gibson were other notable medal winners.
Everton's Dylan Harte and Liverpool Penguins
Everton's Dylan Harte finished with four golds, including PBs in the 100m Butterfly and 200m Freestyle. For Liverpool Penguins, Riccardo Fontana and Wesley Konnings each earned a silver and a bronze, while Sabriye Orucu took silver in the 200m Backstroke.
