AC Milan have finalised a deal that will see Aurelien Guernier leave Birmingham City. According to Fabrizio Romano, the Serie A side have handed the teenager a contract until June 2029, with a two-year option that could potentially extend his terms until 2031.
Guernier, who was offered a contract by Blues, departs the club without having made a first-team appearance but with a reputation as one of the more promising members of the club's Under-21 squad. He was an unused substitute in the win over QPR towards the end of last season.
Alfie May Makes Third Successive Summer Transfer
Meanwhile, Alfie May has made a third successive summer transfer. Having joined Blues from Charlton Athletic in July 2024, the striker enjoyed a solid season, helping Chris Davies' men win League One at a canter. After scoring 17 goals and adding nine assists for Blues, he seemed set for his first crack at the Championship at the age of 32.
However, 12 months ago he instead moved to Huddersfield Town and had an underwhelming campaign. As the Terriers struggled, so too May found it hard to make an impact or nail down a role in the team. As a result, after just seven goals in 40 games he is now on the move again, back to former club Doncaster Rovers.
May, who will be 33 next month, spent three seasons in League One with Rovers, scoring 23 times, and has joined on a season-long loan.
