A popular Birmingham-based brewery and restaurant is set to bring its award-winning craft beers and innovative Indian fusion cuisine to the city's airport. The Indian Brewery Company has confirmed it will open its third venue at Birmingham Airport (BHX) in February 2026. This expansion marks a significant move for the local brand, bringing its unique flavours directly to an international audience of travellers.
What's on the Menu for Travellers?
Located on the International Pier, adjacent to the departure lounge, the new outlet will offer a tailored menu perfect for passengers. The company promises that flyers can 'kick start their day' with a unique bacon, sausage and cheese naan breakfast sandwich before their flight. The menu will also feature favourites from its existing Taproom, such as Indian-style pizzas, alongside new offerings like butter paneer toasties and cheesy masala wedges, which the brand labels as a 'must try'.
To wash it all down, the bar will serve the brewery's acclaimed craft beers on tap, including the Juicy Mango Pale Ale and Pekok Lager. This move is designed to showcase Birmingham's local brewing talent to the thousands of passengers passing through the airport each day.
Exclusive Merchandise and Local Pride
In a unique twist for an airport dining venue, the restaurant will also sell an exclusive range of Indian Brewery merchandise. Travellers will be able to purchase items like branded t-shirts and beer packs to take on their journeys worldwide, all proudly marked as 'Made in Birmingham'.
Jaspal Purewal, CEO of The Indian Brewery, expressed his excitement about the project. 'As a local proud Brummie, I believe Indian Brewery BHX will be an amazing location,' he said. The opening is expected to create new jobs and further highlight Birmingham's vibrant culinary scene on a global stage.
A Partnership for Growth
The expansion is being delivered in partnership with TRGC, a leading UK travel hub hospitality operator. Work on the site is already underway. Jon Knight, CEO of TRGC, stated he was 'delighted' to introduce the Indian Brewery to a new audience within the travel environment.
Richard Gill, Commercial Director of Birmingham Airport, welcomed the collaboration. He highlighted the region's status as the 'undisputed home of the curry capital' and noted that the arrival of The Indian Brewery 'further diversifies our dining options for passengers' amidst record growth at the airport. This new venue taps directly into the city's thriving food and drink scene, offering a genuine taste of Birmingham to those coming and going.
