FIAT Cuts EV Prices by Over £4,000 in Major UK Electric Car Shake-Up
FIAT slashes electric car prices by up to £4,040

In a bold move to accelerate electric vehicle adoption, FIAT has announced sweeping price reductions across its fully electric passenger car range in the UK. The cuts, effective immediately, offer savings of up to £4,040 and are positioned as a replacement for the previous government-backed E-Grant scheme.

Substantial Savings Across the Electric Range

The Italian automaker has significantly lowered the on-the-road prices for its core electric models. The headline reduction sees the popular Fiat 500e now starting from just £20,995, a full £4,040 less than before. This positions it as one of the most accessible fully electric city cars currently available.

Similarly, the larger Fiat 600e now has a starting price of £26,750, representing a saving of £3,285. The performance-oriented Abarth variants have also been reduced, with the Abarth 500e starting from £27,995 (down £1,990) and the Abarth 600e from £33,995 (down £2,990).

A Clear Strategy for Electric Transition

FIAT's new pricing is strategically timed alongside the anticipated arrivals of new models in 2026. The brand is preparing for the spring launch of the multi-award-winning Fiat Grande Panda and the summer arrival of the new Fiat 500 Hybrid.

Notably, the restructuring aligns the starting price of the Fiat 500e directly with the upcoming fully electric Grande Panda. Furthermore, the entry price for the 600e is now matched with its 136hp hybrid counterpart. This creates a straightforward choice for customers considering between electric and hybrid powertrains.

"Making Electrification Accessible"

Victoria Hatfield, Marketing Director for FIAT UK, emphasised the brand's commitment. "FIAT is passionately committed to making electrified driving more accessible to customers," she stated. "With this new pricing structure for our fully electric line-up of vehicles we are starting the new year by making this transition more affordable and straightforward for drivers."

Hatfield added that the brand's approach removes complexity, offering transparent pricing and allowing drivers to simply choose from its award-winning models for Italian style and affordable electric motoring.

This aggressive pricing move from a major car brand is likely to increase competitive pressure in the UK's growing electric vehicle market, providing a significant incentive for consumers contemplating the switch to electric ahead of the 2035 deadline for the sale of new petrol and diesel cars.
