Morrisons Introduces New £1 Electric Vehicle Charging Reward Scheme

A significant new initiative has been launched for Morrisons customers who drive electric vehicles to their stores. From Tuesday, 17 March 2026, EV drivers across the United Kingdom, including those in Birmingham, can now earn 5 Morrisons More Points for every £1 spent at any More Fuel Group EV Power charging bay.

Nationwide Rollout with Birmingham Focus

This reward program is available at all MFG EV Power locations nationwide, reflecting a shared commitment between Morrisons and MFG to enhance the EV driver experience and support the UK's energy transition. As part of this effort, MFG is installing 250 additional ultra-rapid EV charging bays at Morrisons forecourts in 2026, with several branches in Birmingham set to benefit from this infrastructure expansion.

Executive Statements on the Partnership

Martin Symes, EV director at MFG, stated: "We are delighted to partner with Morrisons to reward our EV Power customers with Morrisons More Points. This collaboration is another step forward in our commitment to creating a seamless, customer-focused EV charging experience. With the addition of 250 ultra-rapid charging bays this year at Morrisons sites, we are proud to play a leading role in building the infrastructure required for the UK's electric future."

Matt McLellan, group customer, marketing and data director at Morrisons, added: "We are always looking for new ways to give our customers more value through the Morrisons More programme, and this partnership with MFG does exactly that. Rewarding customers with 5 Morrisons More Points for every £1 spent charging at all MFG EV Power bays across the UK means they can earn valuable points on the road and enjoy savings when they shop with us in store. As more drivers make the switch to electric vehicles, it's important that we continue to evolve our loyalty offering to reflect how our customers live their lives. By linking EV charging with Morrisons More Points, we're making it even easier for customers to benefit from choosing Morrisons – whether they're filling their fridge or powering their car."

Impact on Local Shoppers

This new rule represents a major shift for Morrisons shoppers who bring their cars to stores, particularly those in Birmingham where the supermarket has multiple locations. The initiative aims to integrate EV charging into everyday shopping routines, providing tangible benefits through the Morrisons More loyalty programme. Customers can accumulate points during charging sessions and redeem them for discounts on groceries and other in-store purchases, creating a seamless link between sustainable transportation and retail savings.
