A heartbreaking tribute has been left at the scene where a man died in a collision in Erdington, Birmingham.
Officers were called to Chester Road at 9.20pm on May 24 following reports of a serious collision. A 33-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene. It is believed a Kia Sportage collided with a wall and a Honda Jazz.
This morning, May 25, flowers and tributes were left at the scene. One tribute, addressed to the man named locally as Andrew, read: 'Andrew. I love you with all my heart. It was me and you forever. I'm going to miss you so much. So heartbroken, why did you have to go and leave me babe?'
The man's family has been informed and is being supported by specialist officers.
A passenger from the Kia, a man in his 30s, was taken to hospital as a precaution. The driver of the Honda, a man in his 50s, was also taken to hospital with injuries not believed to be life-threatening.
