A 41-year-old man is fighting for his life in hospital after being hit by a bus near a Midland city centre. The pedestrian sustained life-threatening injuries in the collision on Newtown Road, Worcester, at approximately 5:45 pm on Monday, May 18.
West Mercia Police reported that the man is believed to have stepped out into the road when the bus struck him. Emergency services rushed him to Worcestershire Royal Hospital, where he remains in critical condition. No arrests have been made in connection with the incident.
Police Appeal for Witnesses
Authorities are urging anyone who witnessed the collision to come forward. A police spokesperson stated: "We're appealing for witnesses after a pedestrian suffered life-threatening injuries during a collision involving a bus in Worcester. Police were called to Newtown Road, near the Worcestershire Royal Hospital, at around 5:45 pm yesterday. It is believed a pedestrian, a 41-year-old man, stepped out into the road and was struck by the bus. He suffered life-threatening injuries and was taken to hospital where he remains. No arrests have been made."
