Emergency services rushed to Delph Road in Brierley Hill at approximately 9:30 PM on July 8 following reports that a pedestrian had been struck by a vehicle. The man, believed to be in his 60s, sustained life-threatening injuries and was taken to hospital, where he remains in a serious condition.
Driver Cooperates with Police Investigation
West Midlands Police confirmed that the motorist stayed at the scene and is fully cooperating with investigators. A force spokesperson stated: “We are investigating a serious collision in Brierley Hill at just after 9.30pm last night after a pedestrian was struck by a car in Delph Road. Officers attended and the man in his 60s was treated by paramedics before being taken to hospital with injuries which are believed to be life-threatening. The driver of the car remained at the scene and is assisting investigators as their enquiries, including CCTV reviews, continue.”
Appeal for Witnesses and Dashcam Footage
Police are appealing for anyone who witnessed the collision or has dashcam footage from the area around the time of the incident to come forward.
