The new Aston Villa and Coventry City football kits for the 2026/27 season have landed at JD Sports inside Birmingham Airport's departure lounge, offering passengers a chance to buy before flying. Kit designs revealed
Aston Villa's home shirt, produced by Adidas, departs from the traditional full-sleeve contrast. Instead, it keeps a clean, classic claret body inspired by the club's 1960s aesthetic. The design features a vintage polo collar with light blue accents across the trim.
The away kit has a sleek, dark base dominated by black and metallic gold detailing. Both shirts use the classic Adidas Trefoil logo alongside a simplified standalone Villa lion emblem. The woven pattern is inspired by the Founding Lamp statue outside Villa Park, finished with claret, sky blue, and yellow tricolour ribbing on the collar and cuffs.
Coventry City's 1987 tribute
Coventry City's kit line-up, manufactured by Hummel, moves away from a standard solid sky blue base. The home shirt adopts bold sky blue and white vertical stripes divided by fine navy pinstripes, inspired by the club's 1987 FA Cup-winning kit and subsequent street celebrations. The sky blue panels feature a subtle four-tone jacquard texture.
Navy detailing sits on the collar alongside classic Hummel shoulder chevrons, paired with navy shorts and blue socks. The away kit features a clean, classic white base with navy accents and shoulder chevrons, a crew neck, and sweat-wicking breathable fabric, finished with the standard full-colour club crest and Hummel branding.

Customers using the JD STATUS app will receive 10% cashback on their first purchase.
