Surrey Chambers December Events: Networking & Christmas Lunch
Surrey Chambers December Business Events Guide

As November concludes, the Surrey Chambers of Commerce has unveiled an exciting schedule of December events designed to support and connect the local business community during the festive season.

Key Business Events This December

The Chambers is hosting two major in-person events this month. First, a Business Networking Breakfast - Post Budget Update will take place at the DoubleTree by Hilton in Woking on December 3 from 8am to 10am.

This session will provide practical guidance following the Autumn Budget's release on November 26. Attendees will gain insights into economic forecasts, policy decisions, and tax updates relevant to employers, small businesses, and individuals.

Annual Festive Celebration

For seasonal networking, the Surrey Chambers Annual Christmas Lunch is scheduled for Thursday, December 18, 2025, from noon to 3pm at the Hilton Woking.

The event promises a welcome glass of bubbles, a three-course Christmas lunch, live entertainment, and relaxed networking. It offers businesses an opportunity to reflect on the year and connect with peers in a festive atmosphere.

Quarterly Economic Survey Launched

The Chambers has also launched the Quarterly Economic Survey (QES), the UK's largest independent business sentiment survey. Running since 1989 with approximately 5,000 respondents quarterly, it provides vital insights into business performance.

Surrey business owners and managers are encouraged to participate in this important survey to help shape understanding of local economic conditions.

Meanwhile, reacting to recent inflation data, Louise Punter, CEO at Surrey Chambers of Commerce, commented that while October's 3.6% inflation rate indicates easing pressure, costs remain high for businesses.

She highlighted that tax and inflation remain primary concerns for firms, with the National Insurance rise impacting prices, investment, and jobs.

Business groups are urging the Chancellor to avoid adding new burdens in the upcoming Budget and instead implement measures that reduce costs and support skills, exporting, and infrastructure.
