Visit England has announced the winners of its 2026 Awards for Excellence, celebrating the best attractions, hotels, glamping spots, restaurants, pubs, and B&Bs across the country. Running for more than 35 years, these prestigious awards honor outstanding work in the tourism industry.
The winners were revealed on June 3 at Aerospace Bristol, with multiple recipients from the Midlands. Among them, the 'Tourism Superstar' award went to Mick Hurst, CEO and founder of The Battle of Evesham historical events and re-enactments in Worcestershire, chosen by public vote earlier this year.
Visit England Director Andrew Stokes said: "The awards are a celebration of England's outstanding tourism industry and an opportunity to highlight the excellence that makes it world leading. From a hands-on, traditional blacksmith's visitor experience in the Midlands to a castle hotel and spa set in one of our national parks, these awards showcase exceptional quality, customer service, and innovation."
The Midlands also swept all medals in the Accessible and Inclusive Tourism Awards, winning gold, silver, and bronze.
