Octopus Energy has delivered a landmark announcement for its millions of UK customers, achieving the highest customer satisfaction scores ever recorded in a major national survey.
Record-Breaking Satisfaction Scores
The energy regulator Ofgem, in partnership with Citizens Advice, has published its latest Customer Satisfaction with their Supplier report. The findings, based on a survey of 3,790 domestic energy consumers across Great Britain conducted between July and August 2025, are striking. Nine out of ten Octopus Energy customers (90%) reported being either satisfied or very satisfied with their supplier. This figure dramatically outperforms the GB average of 82% and leaves only a tiny 3% of its customer base dissatisfied.
Complaints Data Reinforces Superior Service
This exceptional satisfaction rating is powerfully backed by Ofgem's official complaints data. The regulator confirmed that Octopus has maintained the lowest number of complaints of any large energy supplier for three consecutive quarters. The scale of their lead is significant: they received 31% fewer complaints than the next best-performing large supplier and a staggering 61% fewer than the worst performer in the market.
Greg Jackson, Founder of Octopus Energy Group, responded to the results by challenging a common industry belief. "People always say delivering outstanding service gets harder as you grow – this survey proves them wrong," he stated. "As we’ve scaled, we’ve further improved our service. You can only do this by investing relentlessly in technology, operations and incredible staff."

This latest accolade adds to a growing collection of independent awards that validate Octopus Energy's customer-first model. The company's consistent performance has made it a Which? Recommended Provider for eight consecutive years. Furthermore, it recently achieved a clean sweep at the USwitch Awards, winning every category for Customer Service, Value for Money and Overall Customer Satisfaction.
