The Fox Inn, a country pub located in the picturesque village of Chaddesley Corbett near Kidderminster, has introduced a £10 two-course carvery deal. This offer provides customers with the choice of either a starter or a dessert alongside the main carvery.
Community Support During Tough Times
Landlord Ben Giles, who has managed the pub for nearly eight years, explained that the special deal is a way to 'give back' to the community amid the current economic challenges. He told The Kidderminster Shuttle: 'The economy is very tight at the moment, and the last place that some people can go is for a meal out; it is a real luxury for some people. It is hard to get customers through the door, so we wanted to give them an attractive deal to give a bit back to the community.'
Giles highlighted the difficulties faced by the hospitality industry, including lockdowns and ongoing pressures. 'I have been here for nearly eight years, and we have had to jump a lot of hurdles, such as lockdown and right now, hospitality is one of the toughest industries to be in. You have got to be at the top of your game, work hard, do good food, do a good deal, and hopefully you will come through the other side. But it's not all about the business, it's about looking after your customers at the same time.'
Deal Details and Location
The Fox Inn is situated in Chaddesley Corbett, a charming village with a church and a garden centre, approximately a 40-minute drive from Birmingham via the M5. The area also features a petrol station offering some of the most affordable fuel in the region. The carvery deal, initially trialled in January, has been reintroduced due to positive customer feedback. Giles noted: 'We've had a good response to the carvery deal, we have been busy, but we are not packed. We are just trying to do a good deal and get the word out. I think people appreciate that we are putting on this deal, and the Fox has always been a carvery pub.'
The £10 price applies to cash payments, while card users will be charged £11. The offer includes a main carvery with the option of a starter or dessert, making it an affordable dining experience for families and individuals alike.
